WHO WE ARE

Founded in 1937, CLOG (Central London Outdoor Group) is a friendly group for Londoners who love walking and cycling. We have around 300 members and welcome adults of any age over 18; currently most of us are over 40.

The group is run entirely by its members who organise all events on a voluntary basis. Administration is handled by an elected committee and a small annual membership fee covers basic running costs. This is £10 for new members and £15 for standard renewals. There is no extra charge for individual events.

WHAT WE DO

We organise a variety of outdoor events in London and southeast England, mostly on weekends but also midweek. Walks and cycle rides start from tube or train stations. Our programme includes:

Country walks from 8 to 15 miles, with options suitable for both seasoned hikers and those keen to build up fitness levels or just enjoy the outdoors.

City walks exploring London's green spaces or historic sights.

Cycle rides at a leisurely pace in small groups, mostly on quiet roads and traffic-free trails, covering between 20 and 35 miles.

Social events including a monthly evening out in central London. Some members arrange events via CLOG WhatsApp groups.

Trips away are also very popular and every year we organise several youth-hostel breaks within the UK. There is also a variety of hotel-based and camping trips, in the UK and Europe, involving walking, cycling and/or sightseeing.
